EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM  WHEEL OPENING MOULDING  REASSEMBLY

Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

The procedure listed below is for the LH side.



PROCEDURE

Hide 53852D 1.INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH

HINT:

When installing the front wheel opening extension pad , heat the front fender moulding sub-assembly using a heat light.


Standard:
Item Temperature
Front Fender Moulding 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
Front Wheel Opening Extension Pad 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)


NOTICE:

Do not heat the front fender moulding sub-assembly excessively.


a.

Clean the front fender moulding sub-assembly surface.

i.

Using a heat light, heat the front fender moulding sub-assembly surface.


ii.

Remove the double-sided tape from the front fender moulding sub-assembly.


iii.

Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

Install a new front wheel opening extension pad.

i.

Using a heat light, heat the front fender moulding sub-assembly.


ii.

Remove the peeling paper from the face of the front wheel opening extension pad.

HINT:

After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.



iii.

Install the front wheel opening extension pad.

HINT:

Press the front wheel opening extension pad firmly to install it.
